Allemar turned to leave but paused and gave me a curious stare. “Do you know what they call a group of crows?”
I trembled beneath his gaze.
“A murder. And that is what you will do for me. You will become my right hand. Striking vengeance and death wherever I wish, and only by doing so will you earn your freedom.”
Ahh! This is Maeve's story, she's the one with he shortest fuse and the most misunderstood of all the Eville daughters. Everyone keeps asking me what fairytale I'm using to base this off of and I have to say it's not so much a fairytale but a ballet and I took a few liberties with my twisted villains of course.
Hope I didn't give too much away!
It is such a good book! My review:
"Hahn stuns with 'Of Mist and Murder.' Meave's dalliance into moral shade of grey and subsequent redemption is a wonder to observe, and both love interests are truely captivating. Throughout her work, Hahn amazes with her ability to retell the same fairytales in such distinct ways, create unique and human (or differently alive) characters, and her immersive and fantastical world building."
It sounds awesome and I would definitely read it.
